NATAL, capital of Rio Grande do Norte, located in the Brazilian Northeast has the privilege of having an excellent tourist structure and with a summer climate practically the whole year has been attracting more and more admirers. Certainly tourism is one of the main economy of the city that today has a population of approximately 1,200.00 inhabitants according to IBGE (2009).
The name NATAL is no accident, its foundation is in December 25, 1599, because it is called Natal or “Christmas city”.  When the Portuguese arrived here they were already amazed by the natural beauties … also came the Dutch (1633) and during the Second World War the Americans when the city was known by the name of “Trampoline of the Victory” with the construction of the air base in Parnamirim.

Ponta Negra or Black Point

One of the most famous beaches in Natal. It is located on the South coast and arriving there you can see one of the main postcards of the city, the Morro do Careca, a great sand dune covered by vegetation that is interrupted in the middle of the elevation (the name “bald”), this monument of nature enchants with its beauty and grandeur.
The beach of Ponta Negra is the beach most popular to the locals people as well as tourists, as it is here that are the main hotels, restaurants and bars of the city.

FORTRESS OF THE MAGICAL KINGS

The first construcion of Natal, built by the Portuguese on 6 January 1598, the day of Kings (Catholics), was taken by the Dutch in 1633, conquered by the Portuguese years later.
