Located near Campina Grande, Itacoatiara – itá (“stone”) and kûatiara (“scratched” or “painted”). Archaeologists are extremely cautious in interpreting these types of visual expressions as simple geometric forms (circles, crosses, bridges ), can be very similar to each other. It should not, therefore, justify these similarities by cultural relation. We let visitors to this imposing archaeological site draw their own conclusions.
